Blocking storefront JS
A sold-out product page is the highest-intent moment a store gets and the one most often wasted. Restock Radar puts a capture form where the buy button was, then handles the unglamorous half: knowing when stock actually returned, and telling the right people in the right order.
The build
Inventory changes arrive by webhook rather than polling, so alerts fire within seconds of a restock instead of on a cron delay. The storefront widget is a small custom element injected through a theme app extension — no blocking script, no measurable effect on Core Web Vitals.
Detail that mattered
Send order. Notifying every waiting customer at once on a small restock means most of them click through to a sold-out page again. The app releases notifications in waves sized to available inventory, which turned out to matter more to conversion than anything on the signup form.
