Plan to start on
Every store that sells something technical eventually hits the same wall. The manual, the spec sheet, the size chart, the compliance certificate — the information exists, but there’s nowhere sensible to put it. It ends up in a theme file, a support email, or nowhere at all.
What it does
PDFConnect adds a proper document layer to a Shopify store. Upload a PDF once, then link it to as many products, collections, pages, blogs, or articles as you need — one size chart can serve a hundred products without a hundred uploads.
Merchants choose how each document appears: embedded inline in the page, or behind a button that opens a modal viewer. Three viewer styles ship with the app — native, custom, and a flipbook mode for catalogues that are meant to be browsed rather than searched.
Design approach
The whole app is one dashboard. Merchants search, sort, and manage their entire resource library from a single screen, because the alternative — a document buried in whichever product last referenced it — is how these libraries rot. Linking is the primary action, and it reads as a list rather than a form.
Reach
The listing ships in eleven languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, and Italian. There’s a free tier for stores with a handful of documents, scaling to unlimited uploads for catalogues that keep growing.
