Most property management tools are either a spreadsheet with a login screen or an enterprise suite that takes a quarter to onboard. Ledger sits in the gap: a system a small portfolio owner can run on day one, that still holds up at a few hundred units.
What it does
The platform is organised around the three things that actually consume a manager’s week — tenancies, maintenance, and money. Each has a first-class workspace on the web, and a focused mobile counterpart for the jobs that genuinely happen away from a desk: logging an issue during an inspection, approving a quote, checking whether rent cleared.
Design approach
Density is the hard problem. A property manager needs to see a lot at once, but every extra control makes the tool feel like enterprise software. The interface leans on a strict typographic hierarchy and a single accent colour to carry status, so a screen can hold two hundred rows and still be scannable.
Where it’s at
In active development, with the web platform ahead of the mobile apps. App Store and Google Play releases are queued behind the first production deployments.
